Angry Please help! I made a trade and the guy isn't on my team!

I made a trade -- two guys and some cash for a starting pitcher -- and that starting pitcher is nowhere on my team.

I checked and the guys I traded are indeed on the other team.

But I cannot figure out what happened to this SP I traded for. When I go to his profile, it says he is on my team. But he is not on any of my rosters (active, secondary, or minor-league rosters).

Please help!!!

Check in the Designatred for Assignment section on your team's Transactions page

Did you check the DFA section of the transactions page?

I'm assuming you mean the "Waivers & DFA" tab in the "Transactions" area.

Within that area, there is no "Designated for Assignment" section. All that's there is a "Waivers" section and three other boxes for whatever other parts of my rosters.

I have not been able to find a "Designated for Assignment" section.

Thank you both for trying to help ... maybe you could direct me a little more toward this infamous "DFA" page? (I saw it referenced in the wonderful Game Guide too, but still can't find it)

try using the drop-down menus in there. The DFA should be there somewhere

Yup, that is where it is supposed to be.

Sometimes, the menus get changed when making roster moves. All you need to do is change one of boxes (doesn't matter which one or on which transaction screen) via the drop-down menu to access the "Players Designated for Assignment."

I've reported the same problem. I have no option to select Designated for Assignment in this window. The dropdown box does not have that option. I'm using the patch.

The only way to get to the traded players is to search for them by name or to go in the news box or transaction box, call up their player card and under action, place them on the active or secondary roster.

The DFA seems to disappear when the 40-man option is turned off.

Can you confirm whether or not you have 40-man (secondary) rosters turned off in this league? This may be a bug, as Cras mentioned.

As an extreme measure, you could go to the manager home page, and put your computer manager in charge of roster moves. Then sim one day, and see if the computer manager moved him somewhere...

Thanks!

Steve

You don't even need to sim a day. Just have the computer run a depth chart on your organization and he'll magically appear.

I've had the same problem. He is on your team, just not visible for some reason. Go to your news section, find the trade offer, click on the guy in question. It will list him on your team, just not on your roster. For some reason he is invisible. Click actions and put him on active roster and BAM there he is. Don't know why this happens, but it happens to me on every trade I make. HE doesn't appear anywhere but he is on your team. Hope this helps you.

What worked for me when I ran into this problem was to bring up the player and the from the action menu, transfer him to whichever roster I wanted him to be on.

Had the same problem and fixed as the previous posters explained.

My league has the 40 man roster enabled yet I have no DFA list. It's been discussed on the tech support forum but I don't know if it ever got assigned a TT#.

I have Rule 5 draft and waivers off so I don't even see the Waivers and DFA screen in transactions and I have no dropdown choice for DFA.
