Well, the A's should win this game but Halsey forgot how to pitch. I have no confidence in this bullpen.

Why exactly was Halsey allowed to pitch to Melky Cabrera (righty), walk him, and THEN bring in Gaudin (righty) with the bases loaded and no margin for error?

Okay, so Gaudin is good enough to be brought in with the bases loaded, but he can't be trusted to protect a 3 run lead in the 9th?

Street's pitching his 3rd day in a row so he'll be unavailable tomorrow now. I'd rather have let Gaudin start the 9th.

The funny part about this is if the A's had made it 6-2 in the top of the 9th, Gaudin would've finished the game.

Maybe Zito can go the whole game tomorrow.

When the comparisons are made to other pitchers, Harden’s situation indeed sounds more dire even as the medical staff denies any surgery talk. Based on the new information, Harden sounds like he’ll miss a minimum of two months, maybe three months. If it were three months, he wouldn’t be back until early September, a point in the season the A’s likely would shut him down for the year rather than risk further injury.

It's a shame if injuries do end up derailing the career of someone who looks like a future Hall of Famer at this point.
