MAC - Window position problem
Ah, opening screen of the game and I already have an issue...
![]() If I load the game with the dock showing (the dock is a toolbar of icons built in to Mac OS X at the bottom of the screen... see screenshots), the titlebar of the OOTP window is forced off the screen up under the menubar where it's inaccessible. ("Before" screenshot.) Then I can't move the window around. I happened to have found a workaround: hide the dock (command-D) and then show it again. When the dock pops back up, the OOTP window will pop out from under the menubar. ("After" screenshot.) Also, it would be nice if we could resize the window. In this case, the bottom of the window is hidden behind the dock. My info: MacBook, 1.83 GHz Intel Core Duo, 1 GB RAM, set at 1280x800 screen res. (Highest res. available to me), Mac OS X 10.4.6 Last edited by OakDragon; 05-21-2007 at 03:13 PM. |

""
Or maybe just a full screen mode ala' FM and EHM, that hides the dock and the OS x title bar at the top of the screen (the parts that are causing issues) |

As I'm managing my first game, I notice that this window sizing issue makes it hard to reach the menus on the bottom of the OOTP window. They only show half way and my dock either hides them or keeps wanting to pop up in front of them when I move the pointer down there. Yes, I know I can move the dock to another edge of the screen, but I shouldn't have to.

i was having the same problem with the top part of the game window being cut off by the finder, but changing it to fullscreen resolved that issue. however, id still like to see this resolved if one wants to play in windowed mode.
