I wanted to use my first post here to thank you for the discount. That was very generous of you. I also wanted to thank you for actually considering the Mac people on the first run of the game. There are so many games that either overlook us completely, or refuse to acknowledge us for as long as a year (*cough* Civ IV *cough*). I was borderline on buying this game, but the mere fact that you even considered us from the get-go convinced me to buy the game.

I beleive this will all be changing. From what I can tell, I feel Macs are the future of home and personal computing. I am so glad I got the new Macbook, it's the best computer I've ever bought.

Minimum system requirements for PowerPC Macs are:

G4 1GHz
Mac OS 10.3.9
256MB RAM

So you should be okay if your OS is up to date.

It is. I'm still a bit new to the world of Macs. I didn't realize how few games were available

I'll add my voice to the chorus of praise. My wife converted me to Mac when we were dating and I've never looked back. I'm not at all joking when I say the only thing I've missed is OOTP. Thank you so much for the game and the discount; I've already preordered, and since I'm a teacher who has summers off I will dive in with abandon upon release.

Add my name to the list of those appreciative of the discount. It's been difficult to read the boards over the last week, waiting for the game. But I know it will be worth it!

Thanks for making a game that I can play on my ibook G4! I was completely shocked when I couldn't find a baseball sim for the mac. I really appreciate your hard work.

Does anyone remember Earl Weaver Baseball? I think that was for my original McIntosh . . . though, with my memory being what it is, it could have been my Apple IIE.

And, yes, thank you, many times over, for all your hard work and for your thoughtful treatment of us Mac owners. I also have a PC laptop . . . but I think the only reason is that I need a laptop, now and then, and this one still works.

I just pre-ordered and I appreciate the 10% discount. Getting to play OOTP on my Mac will be worth the wait. Thanks Marc and Markus

But speaking of waiting when do we get to download it?

I used to have both Microleague and Earl Weaver baseball which I played to death on my Mac LC. I liked Earl Weaver better on balance but MicroLeague would let me create new players.

Hard to believe that it's been the better part of 15 years since I've seen anything worthwhile in a baseball sim for macintosh.

Another upside is that I can stop borrowing my wife's laptop to run first OOTP5 and later OOTP6.5

I used to play Earl Weaver Baseball! I loved that game! I used to run that game on a 286 speed PC (before I knew better) and I could only play as a manager or commissioner because it was near impossible to time the pitch if you were playing it arcade style. I ran a fictional league on it for many years that used all the abandoned ballparks from the 50's and 60's such as the Polo Grounds, Ebbetts Field, Crosley Field, League Park in Cleveland, Griffith Stadium, etc. I called it the Continental League, and when my computer bit the dust, I abandoned the league.

As a complete Noob to OOTP, I am excited that I will be able to restart this old league of mine on my mac. I don't think I will try to replicate the league completely, but it will be fun to revive some of those old franchises and ballparks.

Thanks a lot for creating a Mac version. You have no idea how much I am going to be using this. Me being my stupid self,I purchased the game without using the discount. DOH! Anyways, can't wait for the download.
