Help Name My EuroMLB Teams
I am planning on creating a real-life universe with a few fictional leagues/teams. I have decided on 10 European Major League teams at this point. Anyone who has team nicknames for the cities that I have selected or ideas for up to 6 more cities/nicknames, feel free to offer suggestions....
Current EuroMLB: 1. Amsterdam Nightwalkers 2. Athens Olympians 3. Berlin Blitz 4. Brussels Thunder 5. London Werewolves 6. Madrid Conquistadors 7. Moscow Express 8. Paris Towers 9. Warsaw Warriors 10. Vienna Vigilantes 11. Rotterdam Neptunes 12. Antwerp Diamonds 13. Lisbon Navigators 14. Cardiff Castles 15. Geneva Neutrals 16. Dublin Fighting Irish 17. Prague Liberators 18. Rome Gladiators 19. Helsinki Heroes 20. Glasgow Assault I will be separating these into 4 divisons of 5 teams (North/South, East/West) after I finalize the team locations/names. What, no team in Italy?
As for the existing teams, I'd name the London squad after the former minor-league team in London, Ontario: the Werewolves of London. Awooooooo! And Russian athletic team names tend to have industrial motifs because of the Soviet emphasis on industry. Their soccer teams have names like Dynamo, Locomotive, etc. |

The top city in Europe for baseball is Rotterdam...
Why not name it after its current club, Rotterdam Neptunus?

Some ideas....
1... Praha Golems 2... Lisbon Navigators 3... Bucarest Nosferatus (or Bucarest Vampires) 4... Copenhaggen Sirens 5... Stokohlm Vikings 6... Ankara Halfmoons 7... Viena Waltzers 8... Geneve Neutrals and so on.... and for Madrid yo can also use Madrid Osos (oso=bear, the symbol of the city); or Madrid Gatos (Gato=cat, nick name for the people that has at last two generations that were born in Madrid, parents and greatparentes, and that comes from the Middle Age, when the soldiers from Madrid were used to climb up the battelments of the muslim castles in attacks and sieges because they were the best ones in these tasks in the Spanish Cristian Army).
