Pinch hitters getting credited with pitching appearances???

I've run into a situation whereby a pinch-hitter comes in to hit and he is also credited with a pitching appearance...along with a hold if his team wins the game. As well, his hitting stats are included among the batting stats for pitchers.

Has anyone else noticed this???

Never mind. I figured it out. I was putting the pinch-hitter in the pitcher slot instead of the number nine position in the batter area.

I still think the game is handling this wrong. It gives a pitching appearance if the player was accidently set to P and then changed. It should only give a pitching appearance if a batter was faced.
