An interesting quandry...

I really liked the idea of having a handful of independent minor league teams, so I put a few in. And sometimes they come up with some quality prosepects. Is there any way in real life to deal for these guys, because you can't do it in the game as far as I can tell. Just makes me curious.

You can't trade for them but you can offer them a contract when they become FA. I do wish you could offer contracts before they become FA, that would make it more realistic.

Have you got your game set for trading between leagues? I think each league has to be set up that way on game setup. If you don't click that option, you won't be able to trade with other leagues....

In real life, it's fairly common for big league teams to buy players from Indy leagues. I'm confused, why can't you do this your game?

I believe that qualifier is for trading between major leagues, but I'm not 100% certain. But you're right, it would have to be enabled for both parent leagues.

Just so you know... If you have independent minor league teams in a league that is affiliated with a major league, the independent teams will be able to spend as much money as they want - there are no limits. It's a bug I posted in the tech support forum.

One independent minor league team in a league of mine spent $144 mil. one season. It was attracting major league stars and became too powerful after that.

Yeah, and the kicker is that you don't get compensatory picks when your guys sign with them; not that that feature is working too awful well, anyway.
