Signing Free Agents?
I'm managing a Rookie league and want to sign free agents but can't seem to figure out how. When I view free agents, there is no SIGN button.
Can someone help me?

You can't sign free agents in the minors, the major league GM controls your roster.

Yep, minor league GM/managers have little to no player control(talked to a couple myself).

Oh, thanks. That explains all the transactions that have taken place during the offseason.
What about injuries, does he control that too? What exactly do I have control over, just setting up the lineups and managing the game? If so, that's fine. Thanks again.

Am I correct in assuming that unaffilitated minor league teams can sign players?

OK.
Next and last question in this thread. How do I get promoted to the class A team? Will I be notified at the end of the year, mid-season, or will I have to apply for a promotion? Thanks!

Look at "jobs available" area and apply for ANY you are interested in.

Well, I want to move up in the same organization and eventually manage the Atlanta team. Do they not promote? If not, what's the point in managing in the lower levels since it's supposed to be a career? Just curious, thanks.
