Perhaps you're not the sort of player that manages to screw up a franchise every twenty years or so. If you were, you'd see why this will be so valuable.

And just think, this makes you twenty or so times better than the real life management of the Cubs!

Is it me or did I just notice Shaun Sullivan vote for the game to fall short of expectations? Or is this another fake Shaun like the fake Markus going around?

We noticed this 2-3 pages ago, look back as it's been debated to death ...

Indeed. And I've even emailed the Trib offering my services. Oddly, they have not responded...

Of course not! You'd actually be competent.

The exact words of Tribune brass. At least that is what it feels like they are saying at times. To think they extended Hendry's deal and are thinking about extending Baker's as well. Only the Royals can top that madness.

It seems like the Royals and Cubs are in some kind of anti-contest.

Probably meet expectations, but ...

Honestly, with all of the promised features in this game, it sounds so awesome that I don't think it could be any more awesome than it sounds. Whoa.

Every game has bugs, that's just a fact of life. I'm just hoping the initial release of this one doesn't have any huge bugs.

But really, it doesn't matter because this game is quite simply going to be the most addictive sports game ever.

My expectation is that the leap it makes over the previous OOTP will be greater than any previous release-to-release leap seen in the history of games.

I mean, really, can I write any more blathering, run-on sentences?

Hey, and how 'bout that Cubs victory today? Totally awesome. Well, except for the part where Prior lasted two innings against a Class A team, giving up three runs, four hits and a dinger on 44 pitches. Ouch.

Still, now we're gonna win 21 of 25. Yea-yuh!

Meh, it's all so familiar. The Cubs' season that is. Threaten to be solid, then dissolve whilst using as many no-name pitchers as possible. So sad.

My expectations have dropped a lot the more I've heard about this game which is why I said Meets Expectations.

I think for most people, it'll fall short of what they're hoping it'll be able to do, though, at least for the initial release. We'll see what happens in the end, after a patch or two.

I probably won't be picking the game up until sometime in July, though. June is just going to be way too busy for me to be able to devote the time to the game or the dynasty I've been planning for the last few months for it that I'd like to.

Just like any release...
I loved 3.0, 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, 6.5. I have serious reservations about the new game, expecially since I just stumbled on the fact that my 120 years of history for my offline league and the 5 REAL YEARS of history (23 simmed) of my online league are GONE with a conversion.

At least NFL Head Coach comes out the 30th.

I voted for the game to surpass expectations. I have NEVER been this excited about a PC game coming out. I'm hoping it at least meets expectations, but I have a good feeling about the game and what I'm gonna be able to do with it
