Gambo's current project...Photos for Every Player...

Well guys... In case your curious I do have version 4 of my database on the way. It has some new addition including, with the help of Arod and Garlon, some Negro Leaguers. I'm not releasing it until the new game comes out just in case I can finagle new things out of it.

Since I dont have much to do til then I've been working on finding photos for every player who ever played baseball (well atleast the modern guys). I started off by combining all the photopacks which have been released and sifted through them picking out the best/earliest photo I could find for everybody.

I have 11,258 photos and am making my way backwards to fill in the blanks. As of right now I am through 1984 and only missing 37 players. Here is the total rundown of the progress.

1984-2006 - 37 players missing
1965-1983 - 294 players missing
1940-1964 - 641 players missing
1910-1939 - 2135 players missing
pre 1910 - 2110 players missing
non players - 130 missing
*Keep in mind this is according to pro-debut (from my database) and not ML debut

I dont plan on releasing all these photos unless I get permission from all the people who's work I combined such as TigerFan, Wrightwing, DraftDodger etc. But if anybody help just let me know.

If you want to send me a list of your pre 1980 guys I may be able to help with some. My focus was much more on 1901-1970 and I have some others available aside from what was in my released facepacks.

I hope you can find photos of everyone. I had made it a project for myself before getting sidetracked with other things.

I did manage to collect close to 50,000 pre-1980 images (team photos, head shots, action shots etc) during the several years I worked on this.
