Game time
I'm one of those guys who likes to play out every AB of every game. Still I dream of getting to season 30 where I'll have a full range of carreer records to chase. Of course my goals seem hopelessly mismatched. Still...
I wonder how long each game will take with the new pitch-by-pitch mode. I could usually do 3 or 4 games per hour before. This allowed me at least to dream of multiple seasons before I'd give up, usually in the early part of the second season. If games take an hour each it seems I'ts going to take a long while to do a season. So how long will a game take. Also anyone have any thoughts how they resolve the conflict between goals :

Win a big powerball drawing. Hiring qualified health professionals to set you up on IV drips with amphetamines, and some sort of waste disposal system so you don't have to go to the bathroom anymore.
Also, to keep you motivated, hire an intimidator. It will be his job to beat you severely should you try to take a break. |

In practice, this is the way I've actually followed real-life baseball. Every couple years, my life is such that I have a lot of time to follow the game in close detail. In others (such as the last few), I only have time to read the headlines. |

Forgive me but I don't understand what you mean... Define the H.G. Wells Approach???? I have read his writings but I don't understand what you mean.

Remember, you don't have to use pitch-by-pitch mode as you can quick-sim any at-bat you want.

Well, that is fine, but he was worried about the time it took. He only really needs to use pitch-by-pitch when something he wants to control may be going on within the at-bat. If there is nobody on base, there isn't much of a reason to go pitch-by-pitch unless you just like the experience. |

Yeah the problem is I'm a control freak who wants to make it to season 30. There really is no hope for me I think. Pitch by pitch will kill me. I think I could skip it with noone on base. But otherwise if its available I'll probably be doing PBP.
