What? OOTPBB2006 isn't coming with sounds this year? If not Markus must have never figured out what was causing the crashing problems before.

I play out my games in OOTP6.5 and I want sounds. Those that do not will say, "Sounds are a waste of time and resources". But what they do not understand is that they speak for themselves and not for those who like sounds and feel that it makes the game more immersive. We that want the sounds still have an opinion.

Get iTunes and play music while you play OOTP. Or use the sound files, plug them into iTunes and push repeat and then push play.

I could honestly care less about the sound. I will usually have a ballgame on in the background anyway. imo, ever since sound was added it seemed to cause more problems than it's worth. It wont bother me one bit to see it left out.

Get what? The sound adds nothing to the game.

A loud cheer here when someone gets a hit...OMG! I can't tell by the little box standing on first base. The ball is hit...I can't tell by the PBP telling me that the ball is going back...back...back...GONE!!!

You're telling me that sound adds something? It doesn't. Look at the PBP, look at the screen. Everything you need to know is already on there. Sound is useless.

MM...I dont want cheesy sound either. Id like something that makes you feel that you are at the game. Its a small thing I know but I think it would be really cool if it were done right.

Like I said, you don't get it. It's people like you who think their options are the only ones that counts so you make comments like "Oh, just put some iTunes on and that will be suffient". Heh, don't sit there at your keyboard telling me what is good enough or suffient for me. Don't speak for me & don't feel free to tell me what is good enough for me.

. Yes, I am telling you that it adds something to the game....to me. In my opinion it adds to the game. Don't sit there and tell me what I feel would be an immersive feature doesn't matter just because "you" feel it doesn't.

Posters like this do not understand that their are people and customers who like the idea of sound being in the game. You are the ideal person to comment on something, say that it is good and no matter what anyone else feels - you're right, you're always right.

All this because I say that sound is pointless? Wow.

MorseMoose = MD?

I can go with or without the sound myself. I have not played EHM or FM with the sound on for a while now and haven't really missed it.

No, all this because you say it doesn't matter. If you are to comment on such a subject then the proper way to speak your mind & with respect for others would be to say, Sound isn't important to me. I see no benifit but thats just my opinion. But you didn't do that. Instead you decided to make a final and decisive statement by saying "It doesn't matter".

Listen, please take nothing personal from this (I'm sure you won't) as this is just a forum. I have no ill feelings - how can I, I don't even kow you...lol. However, I like to debate on issues like this because it keeps things fresh.

my friend.

Sound is pointless, adds nothing to the game, and is a waste of time and resources that should be spent on making a better and deeper game.

It's a kiddie thing, and this is not a kiddie console game.

Sounds will not be part of that version, but it'll return someday in the future when we have more time and resources Right now, the focus is elsewhere, of course.

No, Bear, he *does* get it, and your personal attacks on him have destroyed any case that you might be trying to make.

Congratulations, Bear. You have automatically lost.

PLEASE make that time far, far away. Like 2035.

Sound is that LAST thing I care about. It adds nothing to the game. I'm glad Markus is take care of other things first.

No sound for me. I would much rather listen to iTunes while playing..although I did like some of the in-game music in Front Page Sports baseball many years ago.

Please stop acting as though your preferences are some sort of absolute truth when in fact there is no correct answer on this and many other OOTP related issues.

That said I am happy that Markus is currently focusing on areas of the game that are significantly more important.
