It's my understanding that terminal ileitis is another name for Crohn's. My Dad had it and I have an ex-girlfriend that just got diagnosed with it. As everyone else here who knows someone that has been affected by it the disease can be very painful and tough to live with. I wouldn't wish it on anyone.

While I wouldn't wish it on anyone, I have to admit though I had to look it up because I thought Helton was dying.

Well my Dad had it for years and he's no longer alive. I'm only inferring here but...

Besides, we die a little every day don't we?

Not a fatal disease as I was diagnosed with something similar when I was in college and still alive and kicking so to speak.

But for how long? I'm sad to say it but I bet you don't make it past 80, 90 tops.

I had ulcerative colitis, but had surgery to remove the infected area. Went to Mayo clinic, etc had progressive surgery for the time(mid-80's) and have no effects.

Well glad to hear it was successful for you. I really don't know much about the different types of colitis and ileitis and I really should, I just know they all suck to have.

Yeah it was really bad for a few years but the surgery made all the difference in the world, I know that a kicker for the Chargers had what I had back in the late 80's. I think Rolf Benirschke was diagnosed with it missed a season or so but came back and played again if I'm not mistaken.

UD? You mean GR?

Or does UD = GR? But only certain people are privy to that?

Late breaking story here?
