Advancing to next year in Historical League

hi all

Had a quick look around and couldn't see anything about this.

I'm used to playing fictional leagues only so I hope you guys can help me with this little problem I'm having..

I started a Historical league for the year 2000.
After I simmed through the first season I proceeded to the next season and attempted to import rookies from my C:\STATS folder which is where I extracted my Lahman Database information.

However every time I try this and point to my C:\STATS folder I get the message:
"No real rookies found! Generating fictional rookies instead."

Is there anything I'm doing wrong in order to go through to the next season with real (2001) rookies.

Not sure what version you are using but at some point you are unable to import rookies due to a game limitation and you may have hit it.

Thanks for your reply Steve.
I am using version 6.51a, the thing is I also had the same problem with my historical league that I started in 1905.
I have tried redownloading Lahman database but that doesn't seem to work.

You might try using one of the user edited db that you can find in the mods forum. From what you describe there is no reason that this shouldn't work.
