My god, I couldn't stand that guy. He was horrid. I like Damon more than Fiedler.

I think Culpepper is a great signing, Harrington would make an awesome #2 (and I'm from Oregon, so I've already got a bias towards Harrington).

This off-season seems to be the most active one for the Dolphins in a few years, atleast. I'm glad to see we are actually trying to make the team better instead of sitting there doing nothing.

It's the Saban Philosphy, what the Dolphins have been lacking for the last few years, which is actually trying to build a winning team. That guy just knows what he's doing.

Anyone else with me in considering this might be the steal of draft day two? Just how important is a good rotator cuff for a DT anyway? I played the position a little in my youth and don't recall good shoulders being a huge factor. I read in the Herald online the Wright said he didn't even know about the injury and had been lifting weights with no problems all along.

not sure if he was a steal or not but overall I'm happy with our draft. I just wish we'd have signed Bouknight.

As long as he doesn't get the undeserved hype his brother gets then I don't see what's wrong with inviting him to camp.

He'll fit right into the proud Dolphin heritage of guys like Cecil Collins and Lawrence Phillips. Miami has always been great about reaching a step too far for guys like that.

Eh... low risk moves that had the potential to pay off huge. I don't think that this one has anywhere near the potential those guys had though.

Seriously, the biggest cost of any of those 3 guys was a 3rd rounder for the Diesel.

I always liked him for some reason. He was probably my favorite running back of that period -- which I guess isn't saying much considering John Avery and Karim Abdul-Jabar were his competition.

Uh, yea... they didn't pan out, but how exactly did they hurt the team?? Other than Cecil, whom a 3rd round draft pick was wasted on (although it was a calculated risk given his upside)... none of those guys you named had any of the team's fortunes relying on their success. Nor do I see much of a paralell with Vick and Collins or Phillips as the possibility of them playing a significant role was actually there! Nobody can possibly believe that Vick will be more than a 3rd stringer at this point.

I fail to see a problem with inviting Marcus Vick to rookie camp to possibly earn the job of holding the clipboard for the season. He's not taking snaps away from Culpepper or Harrington... he's taking them away from Cleo Lemon and Brock Berlin.

If you'd like to play on a team with characters like that rolling in and out then so be it. But last I checked you're not a Dolphins fan so it's easy to say what great deal for those guys. The majority of us who are are not happy about this deal.

And I didn't say it was a great deal... I said it was pretty inconsequential!

Oh, and whether or not I'm a fan of the team has zero bearing on whether or not I ever think a deal is good... and every other Miami fan in the world can get up in arms over it, but it's not going to have any bearing on whether or not its a good deal.
