What Is The Difference...

Hey guys,

I am just curious to know what the difference is in some of the terms that are often used to describe fighters that are not "main event" calibur. What is the difference between:

Tomato Cans
Trial Horse
Journeyman
Gate Keepers
Club Fighters

Thanks for your help!

I would say:
Tomato can - not very good and almost guaranteed to lose, usually by KO.
Trial Horse - someone who will probably lose but put up a reasonable effort.
Journeyman - a fighter with some ability, capable of wins and the occassional upset but will often lose.
Gate Keepers - a decent fighter who is not quite top 10 material who many contenders fight to get their title shot. Robbie Sims used to be referred to as one when his half brother Marvin Hagler was world champ.
Club Fighters - similar to Journeyman.

Regards

Rob
