Official Quebec Major Junior Hockey League Playoffs Thread

I was shocked to my core to be unable to find any thread on this, so here is one.

Who you got?

Listening online to Acadie Bathurst Titan vs. PEI Rocket, tied at 4 in the 3rd period.

I love how, being French and whatnot, Titan is pronounced "tee-tawn".

considering that we have only one person from Quebec here (that I know of), and it's hockey, that's probably the reasoning

I think someone just did a spin-o-rama in a penalty shot and got the goal....are you even allowed to do that?

5-4, PEI Rocket.

The bandwagon is there to be joined.

I'm not up on my QMJHL, sorry! I'm pretty sure there isn't going to be an OHL thread so I'll just make my semi-homer pick here. The 67's are going to win it, not a very good year but hey ya never know.

Quebec & coach Roy all the way.

Moncton's in the Memorial Cup anyway as they are the host team.

London will win the OHL again, and Moose Jaw will come out of the WHL.

I've enjoyed watching the Knights have another great season, given all the garbage fans of the Quebec league were spouting during last season's Memorial Cup. I've never seen a bigger group of babies than the Oceanic fans who couldn't fathom their team possibly losing the final, never mind actually being shut out.

I don't know who will win the Memorial Cup, though. London may represent the OHL (although I don't believe they're nearly as good as last season), but I think the winner out west will be tough.

Ahaha....yeah, I was just being absurd when I created the thread. However, we're in too deep, we can't pull back now!

Playoff tree, first round, best of 7 I think:

EASTERN DIVISION
#1 - Moncton, 1
#8 - Victoriaville, 1

#2 - Acadie-Bathurst, 1
#7 - PEI, 1

#3 - Cape Breton, 1
#6 - St. John's, 1

#4 - Lewiston, 1
#5 - Halifax, 1

WESTERN DIVISION
#1 - Quebec, 1
#8 - Val d'Or, 1

#2 - Chicoutimi, 2
#7 - Baie-Comeau, 0

#3 - Rouyn-Noranda, 1
#6 - Shawinigan, 1

#4 - Gatineau, 2
#5 - Drummondville, 0

Of course, Quebec is coached by the famed goaltender Patrick Roy. And funny enough, I don't see Rimouski....funny what taking Sidney Crosby off your junior team will do.

Rimouski only won 10 games this season and were outscored 377-184. Ouch!

It's actually not, but there's no way to write it in English the way it's really pronounced.

Ah, well all blame should go to the PEI Rocket play by play for tricking me into thinking otherwise.

Moncton is trying to duplicate what London did a year ago, win their league playoffs as the Memorial Cup host team.

In the OHL, Peterborough is up 2-1 on Barrie, while London leads Guelph 2-1.

Moose Jaw is up 2-0 on Medicine Hat, and Vancouver leads Everett 2-0 in the WHL.
