CIBL historical league has 2 openings
The CIBL is a long running historical league which started with the 1980 season. 10 yrs later we are still going strong with many original owners still involved. We currently have the Braves and Padres available. The Braves are a playoff contender with many young prospects coming of age. Padres are in a rebuilding yr but are a good GM away from contending again. We are currently in Sept so its a great time to get one of these teams before the off-season gets rolling. You can check out these teams at http://cibl.onlinebaseball.net/ Anyone interested please send your emails to longo@brucetel.net Include any OOTP or online league experience you may have. Thanks

The CIBL is very efficiently run and the owners are sharp and active. And beating up on my Cubs is a good morale-booster for everyone.
![]() Give it a look.

Bumpage.
There are two ways to go here. Win right away (and for some time to come) with the Braves, or build your own winner with the Padres. The Braves' stars include starter Danny Jackson, who is in his prime at 28 and working on a ridiculous 23-4 season at the moment. They've also got solid young hitters like Tony Fernandez (22-89-.319) and Ellis Burks (28-116-.280), in addition to a good nucleus of veterans. The Padres are going to need a transfusion or two before they get well, but you get stars like Tony Gwynn (10-59-.316) and Glenn Davis (35-115-.297) and a 23-year-old John Smoltz (7-7, 3.57) to start rebuilding with. Any fans of the era should check it out.

Not disagreeing with Louie .... but wanted to expound on the Padres a bit. They have a long history of contending in the NL West and had a good owner for many years. They were getting a bit old but the AI ran them with little to no interaction this year (which is good as I have seen some AI ruinations in the past - perhaps this good news is due to the fact that the only team the AI was running was the Padres). No they should have a good draft position. Imagine it wouldn't be that hard to bring the Pads back to CIBL glory.
As Louie said, either opportunity should be fun and challenging in a league with normally little to no turn over. |
