C++ Runtime Error

Hey i have a problem i upgraded to 4.2b, when i tried to open the game then it said C++ RUntime Error Abnormal program termination. Does anybody know what is wrong? i deleted some stuff out of ootp some folders just trying to clean up my harddrive a little, but i reinstalled it thinking that was the problem, however the same thing happened. Can anybody help me? thanks

Did you reinstall 4.2b after you reinstalled the game? Are you certain you are using a valid shortcut to start the program?

To question 1 i reinstalled 4.2b, now i am in the process of reinstallling the game. To question 2 yes i am certain i am using the right shortcut.

I have a similar problem but i have not yet installed 4.2b. Never had this until today. Haven't deleted anything. But suddenly I get this message under heading Visual C++ Runtime Library--Runtime Error! in OOTP4.EXE "This apllication has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way. Please contact the application's support team for more information. My computer runs on Windows 98, celeron 360? have 600MB out of 4,000Mb

I just cleaned up an additional 400MB of spece. Still get same message.

This might sounds pretty stupid, but sometimes I get C++ RTE and a simple restart of the OS fixes it up. I cannot expain it, it just works. Hopefully something this easy will fix you up.
