Beta Baseball lets you take a beta tester's spot!

Well, not a beta testing spot for OOTP 2006. It just so happens that the Lennongrad Coléoptères, the debt-ridden defending champions, have been made open by the leaving of Steve Battisti, who's busy beta testing for OOTP 2006 these days.

We're entering our 16th season, and we've got a great bunch of dedicated owners, many of which are well acquainted with these message boards (ill16ca, Vris, Joe Canadian, mlyons, among others). It's a fictional league based in a made-up universe, where 4-man rotations are the norm and where ratings don't exist - only talents do.

If you want more information, please PM me as soon as possible, as the free agency period starts next Sunday!

This is a fun league, a great bunch of guys. I left because I was simply clicking "FTP Roster" every sim, because I didn't have time to dedicate to it.

Without my stalwart leadership, les Coléoptères promptly won their first title last season with absentee ownership.

It's a pretty good team. Lost a few free agents, and money is tight, but it's not one of those ruined franchises you see in so many online leagues. The championship run last year raised fan interest significantly. The team has two really solid young starting pitchers and a young farm system that, while not filled with blue-chip prospects, at least isn't filled with 30-something has-beens.
