Hello! Before I give you all the detailed information about the league, I'd first like to tell you a bit about myself. I have been an active member (mostly lurker) on these boards for a couple years, since OOTP5. I have been playing OOTP since version 3 and have a lot of experience with online leagues. I was co-commissioner of and then sole commissioner of the FMLB for over a year, which happened to be the greatest league I've ever participated in until it unfortunately fell apart.

I'm currently designing a website for this league. I have a bit web design skill, so it should end up being really nice.

Anyways, what I'm looking for are 15 other GMs for this league, which I expect to get up and running within a week of opening day. I am looking for some really committed individuals that aren't just out to join every league in town. Also, we may or may not be making the switch to OOTP 2006 when it comes out, so please only apply if you wouldn't mind sticking around with this league indefintely even if we stay with OOTP 6.5.

Anyways, here are most of the details I've nailed down about the new league... Feel free to make any suggestions and I'll definitely take them into consideration. I'm actually looking for a couple neat ideas to make this league really unique. It has a pretty different setting (I sure hope it hasn't been done before)...

Introducting, the PNBC (Post-Nuclear Baseball Consortium)

League Structure

- Two leagues, eight teams each
- Top team from each league advances to nine-game Championship Series
- No interleague play
- Each team plays 140 games during the regular season

League Financials

- Coaches/Scouts OFF
- Salary cap is $75,000,000
- Maximum cash limit is $10,000,000
- Minimum TV contract is $10,000,000
- Adjust TV contracts based on market size: YES

Game Settings

- No DH in either league
- All default roster rules
- Player offense/pitching ratings and stars OFF
- Player talent ratings range from 0-8
- Player other ratings range from 0-5
- Fill minors option is disabled
- Inury frequency set to high/very high

Stadiums

Team stadiums confrom to strict PNBC criteria, thus they are not customisable. Each stadium will share these common features:

- Same dimensions
- Domed roof
- Artificial turf

Sim Schedule

- Initial draft to be held live on IRC (built-in client on website), 30 of 60 rounds will be manually drafted, after that and based on a league-wide vote, we'll either continue drafting manually or have the computer automatically finish the draft for us
- Daily sims, one series (3 to 4 games) each.
- Trades and other roster moves that must be made by the Commissioner must be submitted and approved at least 2 hours before a sim if they are to be made immediately following that day's sim

Site Features

- "Week in Review" news article series by Brandon Parker
- Each GM will have their own unique, customisable team page
- GMs can automatically post articles to the site at any time about any league-related subject
- Latest vBulletin Message Boards
- Fully CSS 2.0 and XHTML compliant, Macromedia Flash integrated
