Hello;

I'm hoping to find seven other owners who think like I do, with this little project I wanted to run. I'm in love with fictional leagues, and love getting attached to my players and the backstories behind them. However, playing against CPU and not being able to share stories wears out after a while.

I'm hoping to start up a small, comfortable, and cozy eight team fictional league. You create your team's location, stadium design, and pick out your logo. We'd run an initial draft on the message board, and get things going that way. This is for OOTP 6.5

I'll state up front, I'm not a graphics/web site kind of guy. I do, however, know FTP and how to run message boards such as PHPbb, and I am in the process of buying some web space to get an ad-free board. The point of this league is to just have fun with baseball, and share stories and chat on the message board. I'm hoping to find seven other owners who can check up on the forum once a day or so and just talk about how their team is doing, and the latest games they played.

I plan on simulating a series every day, three games at a time, doing 21 days a week. I hope that over time we can share wonderful stories and build great rivalaries, so if you are looking for an easy going, comfortable and sincere league I'd love to have you.

There would be no financials/coaches & scouts in this league, as I want our teams to be teams we built from scratch and get to keep. Please, make sure you are in this for the long haul if you decide to join. I never plan on changing to the latest OOTP, and it'd just be nice to have eight owners stick around for as long as possible. Rating system 1-10, and no DH as well. The league would start around 1995, with modern ERA settings.

A couple of people have contacted me so this has turned into a concrete plan. Working out minor details at the moment, and your opinion is certainly welcome. Still spots open.

Here's a basic run down of the main rules:

Financials: off
Alignment: Two four team divisions, one league
Playoffs: Best of nine championship series
Season Length: 120 games
Simulation Length: 3 days, every day
Ratings: 1-10 system
Coaches/Scouts: Off
Designated Hitter: Off
