OOTP4 doesn't repaint window in window mode

I'm a hopeless multi-tasker, so I usually have multiple things running on the computer at once. Unfortunately, OOTP4 doesn't always handle repainting the window in window mode properly, especially when switching between the desktop and a full-screen application. It usually behaves better when everthing is in window mode, but occasionally the window gets overwritten by another window and OOTP4 doesn't repaint it. The only way out is to manually kill the program, so you'll lose any unsaved work or games in progress.

1. Is there any way to trick/force OOTP4 into repainting its window? I've tried minimize/restore and a few other standard tricks to no avail.
2. Is there a way to avoid the problem in the first place (other than closing all other applications)?

I have this problem running under both Win2K and WinXP.

1. I don't believe so, I typically play with a number of windows open myself so can relate.

2. My advice would be to save often and especially when you have done a bit of work or played a few games so as not to lose your work.

This... before the AI, trades, minor league stats, post-season stats... THIS is what I wish Markus could fix. It is a live-able problem, but I cannot tell you how many times, as a commish, I have Excel or Word or an HTML editor open and I need to switch back and forth... and suddenly you can't switch back to OOTP4.

I am sometimes successful in clicking the "X" in the top right corner of the window once or twice, then hitting the "Enter" key and it saves and shuts down. Even if it doesn't repaint, it still works..... sometimes.
