Well - here's what happened... I loaded fulton county stadium into OOTP and sure enough - it took the file name but wouldn't display it. I then loaded the file into Paint Shop Pro - looked fine, but save it over top of itself - then went back to OOTP and BINGO - it worked.
Somehow, the files aren't right. I would try loading them again and resaving them... if that doesn't work, try a different graphics program. PS: You can download a 30 day demo of Paint Shop Pro from www.jasc.com Question: What version of Windows are you running? It seems if you used MS Paint to convert the files, maybe we have a version problem with Paint here... hummm. [ 04-30-2002, 08:54 PM: Message edited by: Henry ] |

I have tried Paint and Imaging for Windows.
I just tried resaving again and it did not work. Could you please send me the Fulton County file that you said you got to work? My email is incubus3000@knology.net Have other people had any problems using Paint and/or Microsoft Imaging? [ 04-30-2002, 09:05 PM: Message edited by: Incubus3000 ] |

Thank you for sending me the file, it works just fine!
Now, exactly what did you do when you resaved it? What kind of bmp did you save it as? What were all of the settings? The thing is that I would like to know whether it was something I did that made them not work, or if it was that I saved them using Paint and Imaging for Windows. And remember, I now have about 10 more to convert, and it still does not work when I try to save them myself. ![]() [ 04-30-2002, 10:30 PM: Message edited by: Incubus3000 ] |

You know, I thought about whether or not the stadiums were being converted successfully. I figured they were since I could open them in the converted BMP format.
I find Microsoft's default imaging software to be utter crap, so I used the Kodak photo imaging software package, which is only about one rung above "utter crap" on the scale. I will download that PSP demo and see what happens. |
