help with alternate MLB league

I was wondering if anyone had some helping info: I posted this in the OOTP5 forum, but I don't think anyone will see it there:

Okay. I decided I am going to play a couple of seaons with OOTP5 before OOTP2006 comes out. This is what I want to do:
The structure of the league will look exactly like the regular MLB, with all the current players. But I will use my team (HARTFORD CONNECTS) with my fictional characters, in the NL east instead of Washington. Here's how I'm going to do it (If anyone has ever messed with exporting, they know what I am talking about):

1. I will go to the advanced screen in league setup, export the player ratings, player general, and roster .csv files
2. Then I delete the Washington players from the roster file and add my players' names, and give them new #'s.
3. I guess from there I will make up stats and ratings for each player.
4. Import this info back into the game. I should now be able to play with Hartford and my players instead of Washington.

My question to everyone is, will this work?
Has anyone done something similar to this?
Is there an easier, quicker way to accomplish this?

I started setting my team up, and decided it would be too taxing to make my players from scratch. So I have new question now.
How can I get fictional characters on to my one team? I think there's a import team option in team setup.

I figured it out. I'm not sure anyone cares, but first I created a 2005 historical league. Then I created a fictional league with the same setup as MLB, except with fictional players. Then I used the OOTP5 IMPORTER and switched one of the teams from the fictional league over to the MLB. Now my Hartford team will play against major league teams and players. The frustrating part is trying to get all the player photos, real stadiums and logos.

By the way, does anybody know a quick way to get stadium pics in the game. right now I have the .bmp's in the graphics folder, but I think I have to set up each pic individually in league setup.
