Only Rosters With 2002 Stats!

Hello All,

I am in the process of creating rosters for my league with 2002 stats and updated for the 2003 season. This means when the season starts, Sosa will be going for his 500th as in real life.

You can view the progress here at:

http://www.angelfire.com/va3/baseball1/index.html

If you have any questions, comments or suggestions, please let me know on this board or email me at rockze25@yahoo.com

Also, let me know if you are interested in the league.

He did a great job with them and like I said before i'm impressed.

However, the one i'm working on will eventually have the actual 2003 schedule as well as real salaries and actual financial settings such as MLB revenue figures from Forbes magazine (i.e. Montreal, Los Angeles, etc. will have lost money the past year).

I am not sure this will be worth your extra effort since OOTP4 does not even closely mirror the way finances are handled in MLB. By the end of 1 season, things will start to fall out of whack.

Actually, to counter the response about after the first season, things being out of whack, I have tested using real revenue figures and it does, in fact work out very well.

The key is to use the merchandising revenue for the bulk of the real revenue. You can't base most of it on the attendance revenue or the TV deals. So, yes, the New York Yankees will not have a $50 million TV deal but they will have a significantly larger one than the Expos.

If you check back at my web site, you will see exactly how I accomplished this on the league finances page.

Let me know what you think. Thanks.
