Expansion & Historic Leagues

1. I want to start a league in 1986 with historical teams.

2. I want this league to include expansion teams that did not exist in 1986 and 3 divisions per league.

3. I have created such a league and I keep getting a divide by zero error.

What am I doing wrong? Is it not possible to expand a historic league? Should I create a new league with 3 divisions, etc and just load each of the 1986 teams individually? Why isn't there an easier way to do this??????

I just want to note that I have read the FAQ and this situation is not covered there. I am expanding at a time when there was no historic expansion.

Make sure each league has an even number of teams in it. (IE. 14, 16, etc.)

I had 18 teams per so that part should have been okay. Anyhow, the season ran fine it was just after the last game of the series that the error came about.

What I did that is different from what your tutorial mentions is that I am starting from scratch not having run the league before. This may be the problem.
