Advice....

I have been playing OOTP for a LONG time. 6 years? I have always had questions about moving someone up from the minors. http://www.hblbaseball.com/gamepages/p957.html

Seems like he has only one chance to succeed in the league, but his contact is very low. When I put him in the minors it tries to put him in AA. What should I do?

AAA might still work for this guy, he's 25, his power and eye are great, his contact just may not have much more to go.

Don't always listen to your scout if your gut says something else.

Plus, he's had a .780 OPS this month, so maybe he's found his groove a bit.

Minor management is such a personal styles and judgment area. Most of the time, your instincts coupled with the test of time (whatever interval you've determined for your evaluation) are the only real measures. Unfortunately, there's no real looking back to what might have been.

I would move him up to AAA. If he faulters, AA is still open for him. He may just need more time. On the other hand, he is 25... How many more years should he need in the minors? You don't want to bring up a 31 year old rookie...

id say give him at least thru the end of this season, maybe even thru spring training of next season. it may give him a chance to improve those contact ratings just a bit and make them a little more to the talent rating.
