Who implied they wanted Kirby Puckett to suffer?

Alternately, can I have whatever mind-altering substance you're indulging in?

I think your (no doubt purposefully) vague accusations against board members right here are far more offensive than sixto remarking on a known, stated allegation regarding somebody that none of us does know.

So, is this thread about Kirby or the stroke victim?

One of the wonderful things about reading all of the threads on here is the wide variety of unexpected responses that allow me to learn something new or appreciate another perspective; well, maybe you don't think it's so wonderful in this case, but you sure had to expect it, having posted here as much as you do! This ain't the "Talk about the medical problems of past sports stars" forum, either, if you want to play that tack, so why not post this in OT?

Indeed. If it's so important for you folks to grieve over Puckett's stroke, then stay out of the bitch fests and get back to your vigil, for heaven's sake.
Now tell me if you would have said a damned word in response to sixto's post if another name had been attached to it. You want something that will make this place "just another internet message board" without all of the interesting posts and perspectives we can read on a daily basis, conduct like that is it, especially if it is in the on-topic forums.

"But what about how sixto trash talked Kirby and these other guys defended it?" you say. I'm sure if Mr. Puckett pulls through, God willing, he'll forgive sixto, since Kirby will have a renewed passion for life or some such. So why don't you take the supposed high road and do the same?

Craig

You obviously didn't read my latest post. I really don't care what sixtos opinion on Kirby Puckett is. That has nothing to do with anything. What I take issue with is him feeling the need to come into a thread such as this and stir up unneeded ****. Does he have the right to? Sure. Does it mean he should just because he can? No. Have some respect and decency. Do you show up at funerals and walk up to the podium and start bringing up negative things from the persons past just because you can? I highly doubt it.

Sixto can start a thread about Puckett's groping incident. He can start a thread about how he's the worst human being alive and doesn't deserve any humanitarian awards. That's his perogative and he's entitled to it. The fact of the matter is, this thread was and is meant to let fans of Kirby Puckett know that he had a stroke and update them on his condition. There's no need to bring up any ill feelings for the guy or anything of that nature. Start a different thread. Keep them to yourself. Just not in here.

Apparently so. In fact, judging by this thread, it's now 'guilty even after proven innocent.'

I'm done with this thread. Sorry I helped in stearing it so far off course Jon, wasn't my intention. I wish Kirby the best and I'll be pulling for him and waiting for updates on his condition.
