I am just curious to see if any of you guys are adding teams and what names you are giving these teams. In my career, I deleted Montreal... Moved them to Louisiana and are called the New Orleans Lightning and play in the N.L. Central. I moved the Pirates to the N.L. East. I also have the Washington Senators playing in the A.L. East and the Las Vegas Gamblers playing in the A.L. West... lol What cities have you added and nicknames have you gave the teams?? I am thinking of adding or moving a couple teams in a couple of seasons, like Tampa Bay/Minnesota/Florida...

Well, I add the teams before I do any Free Agent Signing period or Amateur Draft. Don't forget when you add a team to go into their Market and edit there Market Size and do the TV deal Stuff, Local... national... to help them have some $$$. When I did this, they still had the lowest Salaries in my league, but they moving up and getting better now after 2 seasons. Washington signed Pedro Martinez!!!! You might have to add some fictional players to their minors etc...

O yea, one thing I did forget to do the first season after I had expansion teams was to go LEAGUE SETUP and Recaluate LEAGUE TOTALS. It was set for 30 teams.... I was wondering why a lot of team batting averages were like .240-.260... lol and a lot of low scoring games, lol Rick Ankiel of all people even threw a NO-HITTER, lmao!!

I did it and it worked great.

Here are some teams I've expanded the MLB to in a few of my many leagues I've done:
Washington Senators Portland Pioneers/Portland Pilots Louisiana Lightning (tribute to Ron Guidry) Indianapolis Arrows Charlotte Knights/Carolina Blue Sox New Jersey Jaguars/New Jersey Knights/Newark Bears Allentown Ambassadors Las Vegas Gamblers/Las Vegas Stars/Vegas Vipers Montreal Monarchs (after moving Expos out) Vancouver Cougars Sacremento Samaritans Hartford Whalers San Antonio Outlaws Mexico City Aztecs Orlando Orange Sox Birmingham Barons I usually expand to 32 teams, adding two and changing the Devil Rays and the Expos to one of the above. Expos almost always become the Washington Senators in my leagues. I'll almost always make the Florida Marlins the "Miami Marlins" and change the KC Royals to the KC Monarchs as well -- two name changes I think should be done in real life.
