LBA has two openings!

The Laseron Baseball Association is a unique fictional league set in the alternate "world" of Laseron .

The two teams that are currently open are the:

Crystalis Robins

and the

Mastport Steamers

Both clubs are right around the .500 mark and with a little luck and few changes in the offseason they could be very competitive next year.

The LBA is a 16 team league and we are currently finishing up our second year (1901) so now is a good time to get on board. We have a very solid core of active owners and would love to add a couple more.

Activity is a must and article writing is very encouraged.

If you think you would like to join, e-mail the commish (Dani) at
treedom74@hotmail.com

The website is www.laseron.org

I am also an owner in this league and I have been since the beginning. I recommend this league without any hesitation. We have gone through a lot of changes lately, but we are still persevering despite it simply because we have a great core of owners. Just take a look at the league website, LBA, and you will see that the LBA is a very active league with a great concept. Check it out, but only if you are serious about being an active GM. If you are, I know you won't regret becoming part of LBA history!

Yeah, another member of the league here. I love this league because there's more to it than submitting lineups and sending/receiving the odd trade proposal.

Everyone in this league is on Yahoo Messenger, and every night you can find at least a couple people to talk shop with. Our forums are very active and there are A LOT of articles. Because of this, in just two seasons so far, we have (fictional) players in the league who are almost as real to me (us?) as real-life ones.

There are quite a few memorable players, such as:

Red Vedder - the only 1st round pick in the initial draft (2 seasons ago) who's yet to make his ML debut. We're all very anxious, especially Delgadodawg.

Jake Loescher - rich snob extraordinaire. They love to hate him in Geo Bahn (blue collar central) but, damn him, he's good.

Wroster Lollfinkus - a wild man from the hills. He doesn't understand city folk, nor the concept of a strike zone, but he can throw hard.

Dell Bradley - big bad bruiser who hits them really hard. He scares me...really bad.

Jaime Kruger - he can't play too well, but he's become legendary for his...err...role in the infamous bullpen incident.

If you're looking for a league where all the other owners are accesible and 'into it', rather than merely submitting lineups every sim, this is the one for you.

This is a great league thanks to a great concept and some very dedicated owners. Whether you are new to online leagues or a veteran, this league has a lot to offer. If you are new, there are plenty of experienced guys who are willing to guide you. If you are a veteran, this league is unique and will quickly become one of your favorites.

I'm not sure if these have been filled yet but I wanted to second what everyone here is saying. This league is a lot of fun!

Wow, that's a cool concept for a league. I have actually been running a solo league with the same concept for a while. I don't like having preconceived notions either!

If I had web access from home, I'd love to join, but alas, I can only connect at work until I get my new apartment hooked up.

We are about to start the playoffs in the second season so join up now before the offseason fun begins.

(Assuming spots are still open and if not we can add you to our waiting list)

It actually looks like Mastport is taken and Crystalis is still open. We are nearly finished with the first round of the playoffs, and we hope to start the offseason on Jan. 6, so join as soon as possible!
