Free Agent Question

We are moving to OOTP from another game. We obviously do not need to do a free agent draft. We simply want to add the players to the rosters.

My question is this: Can we simply add the players to the roster, and still be able to use the financial system? We want to add this to our league, and is the main reason we are thinking about OOTP.

Thanks in advance.

I'm not 100% sure how you want to set things up but you can start a new league w/o a "draft" but you have to use stock rosters of some sort. You can "just add" players by just going into the free agent pool and creating players. The financial system can be turned on and off at various times of the year. If you will give me more exact details I can help to walk you through what you want to do.

Steve,

Ideally what I would like to be able to do is import all the players for the 2001 season from Lahman database. Then, I'd like to assign the players to my teams as I desire.

I know I can import the players. I know I can transfer the players between teams. I'm just not sure of an easy way of moving the players between teams without redrafting the teams.

Thanks,
- Bill

You might try going here and finding Pierre's editor. I'm not sure but I think that you can use it to shuffle players between teams.
