St. Louis Cardinals available in FFL

The St. Louis Cardinals have become available in the FFL after the unexplained disappearance of their former owner. The Cardinals are a good team, they took the league by storm in 2044, winning the World Series after being counted down and out at the All Star Break.

They could be set to repeat that success this year with a new GM to take over the reins of the franchise. They have an excellent farm system. They are ranked 9th in the league with prospects like LF Dean J. Manwaring (13th), SP Seth Camp (31st), and SP Charlie Bravo (33rd). They have a good pitching staff with a decent rotation and a dominant closer in Demond Cross. Their lineup has a solid middle with 2044 World Series MVP and NL MVP Eugene Wyatt at it's core. He's backed up by Jaime "The Moster" Moore and David Divito. Young phenom Chavo "Oh, Chavo!" Diaz is still an exciting player, though he's going through some rough times right now.

Overall, The Cards are in good health, and despite struggling all around this year, they remain a threat in the competitive NL North at 23-24. As of yesterday's sim, they are 5.5 behind the Reds (27-17) with the Cubs (26-19) also ahead of them. The rebuilding Indians have had trouble getting used to their new home in the National League, and are lagging far enough behind the Cards (16-29) that they should be a non-factor, but so far, have been hanging with the Cards in the season series (3-3).

Now, the question is if you can take this team over and put them back over the hump and get them back into the thick of things.
