That pesky tricep tendon...

So, my guy was out couple a weeks for a ruptured tricep tendon.

Date: Wednesday, 5/1/2014
Subject: Eugene Mcadory healing process
Eugene Mcadory is not recovering as fast as I have
hoped! So expect his injury to last about 14 more days.

If he ruptured his tricep tendon for real, he'd have gone out a lot longer than 14 days, most likley, more if he were a pitcher. It's balancing out, to a certain degree. It could also be fairly realistic to think that he could have setbacks during rehab that would keep extending his stay on the sidelines....

I say you need to get him a girlfriend. Give that tricep tendon a little rest, you know?

I think originally, he was out 9 weeks. He's a third-baseman (I wonder how a third-baseman ruptures his tricep tendon?)

I googled "3B ruptured tricep tendon", and most of the results were from OOTP online leagues.

What is the triceps tendon?

The triceps tendon is the one at the back of the upper arm - as shown opposite. It inserts into the back of the elbow. If you fall onto your hands you can rupture this tendon. If you over-do the weights or try to push something too heavy you can also rupture the tendon or it could become inflamed through over use.

I had a triple-A pitcher go down with a broken finger for 4 weeks on 7/23. The playoffs didn't end until 10/30. He was out for over 12 weeks. I must have received 3 or 4 messages from the doctor extending his recovery.

Unlike the first case that the player was reported to miss a girlfriend, in this case the problem was that he had a girlfriend, he must be more carefull with his finger.

Didn't Scott Rolen have to sit most of this past season out with a tricep problem?

Are you using the Cubs or something? This sounds like their recent history of telling fans everything is fine, then ok, then not as great as it seemed, then not so good, then bad.

Didn't Jose Canseco swing and miss so hard he tore his bicep?

There should be a way to set the fequency of injuries.
