Miami welcoming Yao Ming with... fortune cookies?

Taken from La Presse, a Montréal newspaper, Friday Dec 20th:

"We often find that Americans have a really open mind about the rest of the world. In Miami, to highlight the recent visit of Yao Ming and the Houston Rockets, the Heat distributed... 8000 fortune cookies. Class act."

Bad move by the Heat I'd say... it's a real insult,, if I were Ming or Chinese I'd be even more pissed than I am right now. It would be like giving every fan at a Chinese sporting event where there would be one american player a Big Mac. (By the way, McDonald's is losing money )

McDonalds drives me crazy. I can never understand why, if I'm the only person in the drive-thru, and there are very few people inside, why in the world it takes me 20 minutes to get my order.

They are redefining fast food.

But if you live in Texas you get to eat Whataburger. Good stuff although it takes awhile to get through their drive-thru.

Actually, executives in the food industry (no lie) are now calling their business "Quick Serve" instead of "Fast Food"

It takes some time for the stoned 17 year old punk to microwave it, then spit on it, throw it on the floor and get dust all over it, then re-wrap it.

Sorry, but Whataburger is the worst restaurant in Texas, by far.

I don't understand why distributing fortune cookies was problematic.

Me either, unless they said the Heat would win more than 20 games this season, because then nobody would ever trust fortune cookies again.

I ate at the Chinese Buffet today and my fortune was "You will see many coutries (in bed)"... which was not as good as my wife's which was "You are very artistic (in bed)". Ahhh, I love adding (in bed) at the end of my fortunes. They then actually seem interesting.

I guess John Bobbett ate Chinese and had the fortune "A part of you will slip away."
