This is all just an indication of how far this game is from release. The push for pre-release hype hasn't hit yet.

Trust me, as the game gets closer to release, we'll start seeing lots of stuff. Marcus will be here almost every day, answering a few questions here and there and contributing to the forum in general.

I've been hoping we'd see a continuation of the past, where OOTP has been released right around opening day. And while I'm sure that's been Marcus' goal all along, I'm becoming increasingly doubtful that goal will be met.

Cooley, you've been around here as long as I have, maybe longer ... well, we both registered in the same month, anyway ...

You haven't noticed that as each version's release grows neigh, Marcus makes more appearances on the forums?

It's callked "hype." Every game facing release does it, some more than others. Devs frequent the forums more, more dev diaries and screenshots are released, demos come out. It's part of the game, so to speak ...

It does make sense to promote the game more as it approaches release. Plus, this time, there's SI's marketing guy here to help Markus out. I agree with the "far from release" theory.

While I don't want to see this thing released on the last day of spring, I must admit, I fall into the "rather have a really stable version released in mid-May than needing immediate patching in April" crowd...

But all other things being equal, I'd rather the game be released April 1 than May 15.

Agree with this. I don't want the game until all major bugs are out of it and the new features function properly.

I have waited a year and a half...and will patiently wait longer, but would appreciate a release date that can reasonably be met...a "ballpark" release date, so to speak.

As Ernest and Julio Gallo used to say: "No wine before its time".

I hope the "little Baseball Brewmeister" will heed that wonderful advice.
