Is it a small conference? Know where it is? Both of those kids look like middle-schoolers.

Looks like a small private school. The level of competition is often not that high with these type schools.

But it's still amazing. Our school is in a really small conference and our whole team never scores 88.

He's not really that small, it's an illusion. The guy next to him is Bill Laimbeer's son and goes 6-10.

Well, except for Phil Jackson and that kid who was Div. II player of the year and got drafted by the Heat.

Excellent job by Jason tonight; the Nets are really lucky to have him. He looks a little different in that pic, though.

No. Not when everybody else in the picture fits that description. There's probably nothing but honkies within a 5 mile radius of that place.

This story (and the accompanying small school talk) reminds me of a small catholic school that we played in HS. When I played sophomore ball, we played their varsity team. We were up by 50 at halftime, and my best friend, who wasn't good enough to dress but came to be waterboy, borrowed a jersey from one of the guys and put up 12 points in the second half. He outscored me that game, so now I get to always hear about it.

I was probably the 3rd best player on our sophomore team, probably 12th best overall in the school at best, and I have no doubt I could have scored 30 a game for their varsity team. A lot of those small rich schools just really, really suck at hoops.

My HS played a Christian school when I was a sophomore. They were really bad. During the game, one of my teammates got elbowed in the face and whilst the trainer looked him over, the Christian players crowded around him and were greatly concerned with his well being. Meanwhile, we, his teammates, were on the other end of the court snickering at the hubbub and impatiently waiting for them to get him off the court so that action could resume.
