Sports Radio during the Olympics Rox!

After a hard, stressful night running the Pinheads bowling center in Fishers, IN, it is always nice to get in the car and listen to a little late night sports radio. For the 5 minute ride home, I get to listen to all of the days sports highlights.

Yesterday was a good day for sports. Eddie Sutton and his DUI. UCONN loses to Villanova. Surely there will be insightful talk going on on the radio.

WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING!!! There's nothing like figure skating play by play on the radio. Who needs football or basketball or baseball or hockey for that matter when you can listen to that crap.

Holy mother! What a waste of radio waves.

Figure skating doesn't really seem like much of a sport for radio...

I disagree. It's far more exciting than chess on radio.

Nonsense. When Gary Kasparov was playing Big Blue, and, when things started looking like the computer couldn't win, it was nerve-racking when, in a show of amazing logical agility and depth of reasoning, Big Blue electrocuted Kasparov. It was riveting.

I disagree. Except for Kasparov's hideously anguished screams as if stuck in the pits of hell, it just wasn't all that exciting.

You must not have had a good pxp announcer then.

If it had been on television, maybe I'd take a second rook and reconsider.

If I ever form my own country, I'm gonna make the national anthem like two hours long, so if anyone from my country wins a gold medal, everyone has to sit through it. Or stand through it, I guess. But I wouldn't go that far, because I'd like to sit, too.

I would use some sort of beer jingle, and see if I can't get money from it somehow.

I like that. Keeping with my original idea, I'd need something like 150 beer jingles all played back to back. I think it could work. Those Budweiser ad guys are good. Hehe, magic fridge...

We're getting the germ of an idea here. Country sponsorships. The Bud Lite Republic of Lichtenstein. The Capital One Duchy of Monte Carlo. This has real possibilities.

Well most of my insights were better than this one.
