The Start of Soul Patch a 2006 league
Soul Patch is starting up. It is a 2006 sim league. It uses the CubbyFan23's 2006 MLB Rosters (v1.0), with some edits by me, the commish. The league is located here http://tehfz.com/soulpatch/home.html and the forum is here http://cgi.tehfz.com//SoulPatchfourm/phpBB2/index.php . I have high plans for this league. I want it to last forever and have the most active league out there. Right now i have 16 great, active owners and i plan on getting 14 more. All i ask for in you guys is to check the forum multiple times a day and post alot. Also get me a roster in for every sim.
Everyone in this league must follow these rules that are located here: http://tehfz.com/soulpatch/rules.htm . The following teams are still open: AL East AL Central Detroit Tigers - AL West NL East NL Central Houston Astros - NL West Colorado Rockies - San Francisco Giants - You can find out how these teams are by looking at the reports here: http://tehfz.com/soulpatch/Report/index.html Or the file here: http://tehfz.com/soulpatch/Soulpatch.zip Let me know if you would like to join by email or AIM. My email is goaliemaster302@sbcglobal.net And my AIM sn is goaliemaster302 Again the site is http://tehfz.com/soulpatch/home.html and we are looking for 14 good, active owners to finish up our league out. If you want to join talk to the Commish, me, Matt Williams. Thanks Matt Williams Commish of Soul Patch And i hope to see you in my league, Soul Patch Last edited by Soul Patch Baseball; 01-13-2006 at 09:20 PM. |

We are down to four teams now
They are Tigers Astros Rockies Giants They all are good teams. This is what I think of them: Tigers- These guys got a great young pitching staff lead by vet. Kenny Rogers who still has stuff. This team is strong all over. They have a great line-up and their team is filled with a great mix of vets. and young prospect. The vets will be great teachers to these young guys. This team is for now and the future. With a few good moves they could easily be top in the central. They will foresure be in the mix for both wild card and cetral title. But this division is a tough one with the White Sox, Indians and Twins in it too. It should be fun for the owner. The pen is solid it just lacks some people they have a good start but one or two more would make it great. This is a great choice for a team. Astros- Well the Astros are still a great team in a tough division. They are kind of like the Tigers in their division, except the Astros are older, but they do have experiance. Their rotation could hold the best top 3 in all of soul patch. But one more would make it amazing. Their bullpen is run great with 2 great set-ups and an amazing closer, who will shut the door. Their line-up is better than before and it should preform. The question is on this team is the pitching after the top 3. Injuries would hurt this team in pitching. With a few move the could make it again and maybe win it all. But this team is for now not later. They are short on prospect and have a high payroll. They could be good this year and maybe a few more but it will take a good owner to make it a dynasty. This is still a great team to pick. P.S. I forgot they didnt have Roger Clemens so when you see him there he really isnt. But he still could be if you offer right Rockies- You can't count them out in the West because you saw what happened last year. They are a good team, but they really arent for now. They are a rebuild that I see may ave a chance. Their team is centered around vet., Helton. I think this team is a great rebuild and possibly a easy rebuild. I believe there is a high chance of success here. They arent that bad of a looking team though. They are real young and there rotation mine not look great but there is no one bad anywhere. This team has a shot and a good owner could do it. The big problem is there isnt a spect that is close to ready yet in the minors. They are all at AA or A. But, still this could be a fun team to work with. Giants- This team too is in the NL West and they had a shot the whole year, without their main guy, Bond. Well he is back now and they improved too. They will be in the race in the West with the Padres and Dodgers foresure and maybe even the Rockies and Dbacks. This is a real close division and this team has a real shot. They have a great rotation with some great vets at the top followed by some talented prospects. They have a good solid line-up with some major power. The big problem will be the bullpen. I has a good set-up and a great closer, but nothing else is there. There is a nice farm system with some great SP spects. This is a very good team with a chance for awhile. If the owner fixes the pen he has a clear chance Those are the 4 teams that are open. They are great teams. Hope to see you in one of those. Thanks Matt Williams Commish of Soul Patch
