Royal Rumble Predictions

Here's the card for the 3rd best sporting event of the year (behind Wrestlemania and the Super Bowl).

The 2006 Royal Rumble Match
HHH has got to be the favorite as he'll be (most likely) taking on Cena at WM but even if HHH doesn't win this, he will most likely be the favorite to take on Cena at WM, so they may give it to Orton for an Orton v. ANgle WM headline match. But it will be one of those two.

WWE Champion Edge vs. John Cena
Thanks for playing Edge. But you're not headlining Wrestlemania and there's no more Raw PPV between then and now so time to job it back to Vanilla Ice.

World Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle vs. Mark Henry
Angle, although, there is one more smackdown PPV between then and now so you could drop it to Henry, give him some over, then have ANgle take it back, but I doubt if that happens.

The Boogeyman vs. JBL
Why JBL agreed to job here is beyond me, but you can't have someone as freekishly stupid as the Boogyman and NOT have him win at his first major PPV - hopefully it will be via DQ by JBL so he loses no heat.

Mickie James vs. Ashley - Trish Stratus as special guest referee
Who Cares? It'll probably have MJ do the turn she needs to start a Stratus-James wrestlemania match.

Open Invitational Match for the Cruiserweight Championship
There's a Cruiserweight title?

It isn't. It's officially been 'entertainment' for more than a decade now to avoid the various state athletic commissions and their pesky rules about fixing events and doping. Basically, it is more choreographed than a figure skating long routine.

But hey, if you like your soap operas with a touch of violence, have at it.

(Belongs in OT though.)

Here are a few other plot lines just as intriguing and just as much a 'sport'.

This is the first year I don't think the Rumble has a easy pick winner. It could be HHH, but I wouldn't be shocked if it wasn't. HHH, is a good pick. But I would not be surprised to see Rey Mysterio win it. Orton is another choice as well. Or how about a returning RVD?

I hope it's Edge, I'm tired of Cena. I don't really like Edge all that much either, but he is doing a good job as a heal champ.

Kurt Angle please, Henry's contract is about to expire and quite honestly, Henry just doesn't have what it takes to get anything done.

As long as Trish is on the screen, we all win!

Nah, those would fall under the heading of more intriguing.

No need for insults if you don't like something, you don't have to read the thread :-)

Yes, he is in TNA.

I'm hoping the Mickie James-Trish fued turns into a big lesbian stalking angle.....just because I like those kind of angles.

Final two are Rey Mysterio and Randy Orton. Looks like Mysterio is getting his main event push (Win or lose). My shocker was Mysterio eliminating Trips

Mysterio and Angle at Wrestlemania 21 is going to be one hell of a match.
