LOTD needs 2 good GMs

Legends of the Diamond is one of the premier deadball Era leagues in the OOTP world. A 16 team league using real players, we are starting our 14th season, 1914, we need two responsible, adult GMs who are willing to make a commitment to their teams and the league in return for a great fun-filled gaming experience.

The teams available are:
Boston Beaneaters (http://www.legendsofthediamond.com/v...tp/team9.html), 10-26 and in last in the NL. A rebuilder's dream, this team will need some TLC in order to get back to contention, but will be helped greatly by owning the 2nd best minor league system in the game.
Cleveland Blues (http://www.legendsofthediamond.com/v...otp/team4.html), 18-18, in 4th place. A good, well balanced team which could contend right now under the right leadership.
A little about ourselves: we expect owners to participate and mind their teams diligently, as well as abide by a few simple rules which we strictly implement. Please visit the site and review them and do not apply unless you feel that you will be a good fit under our format. Ownership of OOTP6, patched to the latest version is an absolute requirement. We have CATO history and one of the most unique sites in the game.
If you are interested, PM me, or visit the site and email the Commisioner and provide us with the following information: What other leagues are you involved with now (links, please), your OOTP boards name, AIM, and a brief note telling us which team you would prefer and why you think you will be good for LOTD and said team.
The link to the league is above as well as in my sig.

With so many people looking for "real players" leagues, this should be great for them. We have another 90 years worth of real players before the league has to be somewhat fictionalized in order to run the Ammy Draft. Babe Ruth was just picked this year by the Chicago Orphans.

Thanks. We pride ourselves in the look and feel of the page and the league. The creative genius behind the design is Drew, our former Commissioner who now runs the Pirates, and to our chagrin, does a great job of it.

I established this league almost 4 years ago and it has been a blast not only running the league at the beginning, but also coming up with more creative statistics, images and other ideas to keep up the interest.

Wow guys...that's an impressive looking league...love the webpage! If you ever have any openings, let me know...I love historical simulation leagues (I'm currently in a league that started in 1987...it's been a blast).

We may be filled by morning. Thanks to all who expressed an interest. If you would like to be considered for any future openings, please post here or get a hold of us (PM me or email the Commissioner, link found in our home page).

We [b]were[/] filled up the day of my post above, but the Boston Beaneaters became available again yesterday. If you want a good re-building challenge, this is your team. Any takers?

Still need one good GM for the Boston Beaneaters. We had 2 owners who could not stick it out for different reasons and this team is still available for the right manager. They are a re-building project and it will take a savvy GM who is willing to spend the time and effort necessary to bring them back to the top. The saeson is ending and the Beaneaters will have one of the 3 top picks in the Ammy draft for the 1915 season in a draft year which saw Roger Hornsby' debut.
Reply here, PM me or contact the Commissioner by visiting our web site (link in my sig).

As a former league owner for a while this is one of the best, unrecognized, leagues that are out there. I still check it out every cpl weeks or so....my kingdom to be able to change the past and had been able to keep the team....

Never been in the league but have admired the site for ages, often have a look and a read as personally I think it's the best OOTP site out there.
