Is There a Statistic Ceiling in OOTP 2006

Does anyone know if there still is a statistical ceiling per season on some stats like RBIs in the new game?

Hopefully, someone knows or a developer can tell me because it is weird in high (200+) game leagues.

I don't remember where this is (I think in blog 1 or 2 by Markus) but the ceilings are gone.

Yes, the old 255 in-season limits are dead and buried. Another benefit to rewriting OOTP2006 from the ground up. This was mentioned quite early on in the development.

Sounds like to save memory, Markus was using uint8 or sint16 as a lot of the data types.

possible legacy code from OOTP5 or 4?

Either way, with the horsepower that modern systems have, data limits are almost a non-issue, so might as well utilize it
