Vital Feature -- Will It Be There?

Sooooo...will password-protected screen savers crash OOTP BM 2006 in Windows XP?

Wow, good question! Since it is a total rewrite, maybe they won't. Anyone else know about any other SI games?

It's a real issue for me...I use one laptop for both work and home. Corporate policy (and, in some way that I don't understand, Sarbanes-Oxley) requires we all have pw-protected screen savers, and they push them down and lock out the control panel settings.

I've managed to figure out how to disable the password by hacking around in the group policy editor, which solves the OOTP crashing issue, but it makes the IT staff grumpy. Plus, I really would rather have a PW there.

I'm fairly optomistic that, given a total rewrite, this won't be a problem. But it'd be cool to hear from one of the testers or whatever.

When I worked at Verizon, it was mandatory at all. However, everyone had to have the same password... So kinda defeated the purpose, lol

Yeah BABY!

I get more excited with each passing day. My wife is starting to give me some very funny looks.

Thanks, Mark!

Great to hear it. It was definitely an annoying problem in previous versions when running sims overnight. (I kept forgetting the game would crash on me.)
