Seasoned GM wanted...

<b>What is TheShow?</b>
SITE ADDRESS: http://theshow.ootpleague.com
The show is a real roster OOTP league. We sim 3 nights a week and have very active participation from our owners. We have an incentive point program that encourages participation from our league members. What have you got to lose? Take a look at our few open teams and check us out.

<b>Interested in joining TheShow?</b>
If so, just take a few minutes to register an account on the website. Just <b><u><i><a href="http://theshow.ootpleagues.com/modules.php?name=Your_Account&op=new_user">registe r</a></b></u></i> using a nickname, not a Team Name. Once you are registered, post in our Wait List forum topic and we will give you further instructions from there.

You can download the large league file <a href="http://theshow.ootpleagues.com/TheShow/TheShow.zip"> here</a>. Select from one of the following teams that is available. Click on the logo's to go see the team's roster.
<center><table border=1><tr><td><b>Team</b></td><td><b>Notes</td></tr>
<tr><td><center><a href="http://theshow.ootpleagues.com/TheShow/team29.html" target="_blank"><img border=0 src="http://theshow.ootpleagues.com/images/SmallJellys/SanD.gif"></a></td><td>Great young team with great mix of offense and pitching. Made NLCS last season</td></tr>
<tr><td><center><a href="http://theshow.ootpleagues.com/TheShow/team3.html" target="_blank"><img border=0 src="http://theshow.ootpleagues.com/images/SmallJellys/NewA.gif"></a></td><td>Its the Yankees! What can I say. Even in TheShow, they have bought a good team.</td></tr>
</table></center>
We do have some minimum requirements to join.
1) You must have OOTP online league experience.
2) You must be more than 18 years old.
3) You must have the game. (We run Version: OOTP 6.51a)
4) Frequent and consistant internet activity is a must. If an owner misses 2 weeks of sims, they will be replaced.

while I can understand three of your qualifications (although I must say that rookies are sometimes a good thing), the age limit is puzzling me and may for other folks too. Do you advertise porn or soemthing to need the age limit?

The age limit has to do with maturity. Unfortunately they don't have a number associated with maturity.

The reason we are asking for seasoned veterans is because we like to move quickly and not have to slow down to answer so many questions and help people get started. It is not that we are anal and don't like to help, it is just that we like to move forward. And after having our commish leave us high and dry, we have waited 4 months to resume sims, so we want to get going quickly. In the future, we will open the league up to anyone.

well it is your league, your rules are the rules for the present offering. ALl I have to add is that age should be the least factor of the ones offered. I've had GM that were of mature standing age wise be pure twats, and 15 year olds be some of the best GM's in their leagues in my travels.

Just my two cents

Have to agree with Creed on this one, the best people I know in the OOTP community range from 15-50 it all depends on the person not the age.

Actually, I've known good ones from 15-75. Fifty seemed a little low to me.

To be honest I bumped it up a bit as the age range of GM's in leagues I've been in is actually 15-46 but I've known good GM's who have been 15 and butthead GM's in their 30's, so if I was looking for a new GM I'd ask for a couple of leagues they've been in and see what other GM's think of them thats my advice as age doesn't come into it.
