a text question

I just downloaded the free version of OOTP 5.0. When I went to go play the game I notice that the text in the game is white and the background is a very lightly colored baseball stadium. Is there anyway to change that or is it just the way the game is made. I get some serious eyestrain after about 5 minutes of looking at it.

Game folder select "game config" file then toogle 3D setting.
