My only real criticisms of the file is there are quite a few inaccuracies in birthdates (mostly in prospects, and most are understandable errors - such as a player born 8/10 but listed as being born 10/8 sorta thing).
Other than that (and that Clemens is listed as an Astro still) I think it's a pretty damn good file. I'm still eager to see HaloFan's next update but Cubby definitely deserves a lot of credit for his hard work.

Tyler Pelland is with the Reds.
Kyle Bono is with the DBacks. Patrick Perry is not a prospect. Jed Lowrie & Clay Buchholz are in the set. Last edited by Wheele8; 01-10-2006 at 03:08 PM. |

Jim Thome is signed thru 2008, with a club option for 2009.
In the roster his contract expires in 2011. |

Bay should be rated higher, not sure why I didn't catch that.
If you guys notice birthdates off somewhere please send them to me. I put them all in as they were listed, so if something was off, I want to fix it. Just got back from Vegas tonight, I'll try to have something up with new BA prospects by Thursday night.

I'm getting the itch to start playing some OOTP again... Does anyone have this roster set on the net as a league? I just wanted to see some ratings and take a look at my Indians before I d/l this roster set.
~thanks in advance... |

Just a few observations from the Yankees:
Alex Rodriguez hits for average vs RHP and LHP pretty equally, his splits should be much less exaggerated than they are right now, high 60s for each, or thereabouts. Chien Ming Wang should be in the majors and his movement and GB% should be boosted. 52 and 33% don't give him justice with 9 HRA in 100 innings and a 2.96 G/F ratio last year. Carl Pavano should be hurt a little in movement, he's a home run machine. Prospects: No J. Brent Cox, the closer from Texas. Eric Duncan a little overrated in the power department. Phil Hughes a little more talented than you give him credit for. Oh and a little tip(s) for the Phillies--Aaron Rowand covers more ground than any other CFer I have ever seen...simply amazing. Ryan Howard's BA splits are very exaggerated, has a lot of trouble hitting lefties, as he did in the minors, but he does hit righties better than he's rated in this set. Overall a solid set. |

Anybody else notice an issue where players are listed twice or players not even in the game are popping up in player development and the players database -

hey cubby,
Thanks so much for the Roster Set, it is great. I ran into a problem though and i dont know why. I was trying to see how much Chan Ho Parks would cost to release on the Padres. It was weird it didnt cost anything so i was wondering what was up there. He has a 15 million dollar contract too. I just didnt get it. So i started playing around and tried Houston and found out that Bagwell and Pettitte were the same. I didnt go any more on that search i decided to play around with it. I edited contracts, i simmed i did everything. They stayed the same they didnt cost anything when i released them. So i was wondering if you had any ideas. They all are on the finally year, but not all finally year players work this way. So could you see if you can figure it out or tell me why. Thanks Matt

Hey guys, sorry for the lack of updates. Didn't get to bring my computer down to school, so I won't have it until next weekend or so for updates, so look for the BA updates / roster moves / etc. then
Thanks! |

I'm in a league that is using your roster and I have noticed that on the "Salary Report" page for each team there are like 2-5 players that have 0 years in the majors when they should have atleast 2-3 years. Are you going to fix this? I was just wondering.
