Good move by both!

Palmer gets 30 million up front and the Bengals own him for 9 more years.

You heard it here first..... this contract will not last. He will hold out at some point during the life of this contract

I'm a pretty big Chad Johnson fan, so this is awesome news. Now if they can lock him up, the Bengals will have the new Manning/Harrison.

So? If he doesn't hold out, they will probably cut him by 2012. So at least they got him for at least 4 great years. And maybe 2 good ones.

Unless he's another one year wonder. I'm not trying to piss on the parade or anything but I just think that assuming Palmer can just mail in 6 Pro-Bowl years at this point is a tad premature. I mean, there's a slew of QB's that have come in and posted big numbers within their first two seasons and then we never heard from them again.

Palmer did something right! Tears his ACL a few days later. Great timing!

Don't think he had a whole lot to do with it.

I would expect some kind of response such as this from a cubs fan.

I think he probably agreed to be on the cover of Madden 2007 just before the game
