Non-sequitor: I wish the AI in madden would have some sort of real-life or adaptive strategy. You can run a franchise with the worst offensive players available in the game, and destroy the computer's defense with a properly executed West Coast offense. Basically 9/10 of the teams are unable to defend curl routes because they play man to man without any contact at the line, and the others (the teams that run cover-2 or 3-4 zones) give up 25 yards a pop on swing passes. There is no combination of difficulty/sliders that prevents you from marching down the field by throwing 10 yard curls to the same wide receiver over and over with the occasional check down to a 10 yard TE curl or swing pass.

Vick just went 16/32 with 124 yards and 2 interceptions in a 13-10 loss to the Carolina Panthers. It was partially dumb play calling and bad special teams though. I haven't thrown 30 passes in a game all year, much less 32. And I had a chance to tie the game with a field goal with 0:19 left but missed wide right.

When I play with Vick, I'm on All-Pro with sliders way to far in favor of the computer and he gets 100+ rushing yards with 275-300+ passing yards. Then I'll have my running back that gets 100+ rushing yards. I'm thinking about switching to All-Madden soon

Alright, just finished a game against the Saints. They won 50-47 in the ugliest game I've ever seen. Usually, with it being on All-Madden and the way I have the sliders switched to keep the scores low, it's a big deal to hit 40 points.
Anyway, part of the reason they scored so much is because Vick had two interceptions returned for touchdowns, including a costly one in fourth quarter. That one was his fourth pick of the game, at which point I said I'd had enough and brought in Matt Schaub with 5:19 to go in the game. ![]() Seriously, there's no excuse for that. Also, Vick is rated a 76 for injuries. It seems like he misses a series or two every couple games due to random injuries that don't actually keep him out for the long term. So Schaub has played quite a bit for me this season (13 games). Take a look at their season numbers side-by-side: Vick: 78.1 RAT, 21 TD / 17 INT, 2,016 yards, 144/267 - 53% Schaub: 128.6 RAT, 8 TD / 2 INT, 629 yards, 45/63 - 71% Because I'm playing superstar mode and, again, trying to keep it somewhat realistic, I'm not going to make the change to Schaub as the team's starter. I can't make trades, draft players, or sign free agents as a superstar -- so I'm not going to step out of my bounds and bench people. I will, however, keep my fingers crossed that Vick gets hurt.
