The WBL has a whole new look and is searching for a few good (dependable) GM's for it's open franchises (Birmingham and Tokyo are division leaders!!! and Sacramento would be a good choice for a GM wanting the challenge of rebuilding).
We are a 16 team fictional league nearing the end of season #2. Scouts and coaches (after a two year experiment) will be DISABLED in the coming offseason and a salary cap will be implemented (in the $85 mill range). The Seoul Assassins won the first WBL title, but , barring a hot finish by the Korean team, the league will be crowning a new champion this year. Check out the League Website and email the WBL Commish if interested. NOTE: The commish is an active GM in the league (Rio Renegades) but I am kept brutally honest by the likes of Oslo (thanks for your great work BJ!). This is a league for the owners and not the commish and I am always looking for new ideas for improvement. If you have something to add...Come on in...the Baseball's fine. |

The WBL welcomes JEFF COBB back as GM of the Birmingham Vipers. He is the defending NWC champ (at the expense of my Renegades!) and is a solid addition to our league. Welcome Back Jeff!
Other teams still open! |

The WBL is pleased to announce the addition of DAVE HORN to it's ranks as the GM of the Cape May Tidewaters. Rumor has it that the franchise will move in the offseason but a new host city has not been determined. Right now his first priority is overcoming the 5-game lead held by Birmingham.
There are still openings for interested GM's so check us out. World Baseball League |

The WBL is pleased to announce the following additions to the WBL ranks:
Dan Lauritzen has taken the WBL plunge as the new GM for the Tokyo Tsunami's and will need all his skills to hold off Nepal and Seoul over the final weeks of the 2003 season. Steve Tribou is joining the WBL as the new GM of the Sacramento River Cats. Steve joins us from the Green Monsta Baseball League were he is also GM of the highly successful Bay State Minutemen (1977 GMBL Champs). He is a talented GM, a valuable addition to the league, and will provide a serious challenge to the defending NWC Champion Birmingham Vipers! Welcome and good luck to both of these GM's! The Nepal franchise is still available. If the Hong Kong GM does not solve his internet problems by the end of the current season, that franchise will also be available. Get your name on the list fast. We have some tough GM's in the league now so the next seasons should be challenging to say the least!! |

The Hong Kong franchise has been reserved should it become available (as it most likely will).
The Nepal franchise is still available. This is a solid team only 1.5 games out in it's division with a month to play. Anyone think they have the stuff to catch Tokyo? Check out the WBL and find out. Email the WBL Commish if interested. |
