Step-by- Step Procedure to download OOTP4 latest patch

Computer novice needs help. I have searched for a step-by-step procedure to download the latest patch and did not find it.

1) Please give me step-by step instructions, beginning with the website's download page and going through installing the patch in my computer. Include instructions for unzipping (I have Winzip, but don't know how or when to use it). I know how to find OOTP4 game on my hard drive. PLEASE DON'T LEAVE OUT ANY STEPS.

2)I have 4 different leagues. If I install the new patch, will I have to install it in each separate league or will the game automatically install it in each league?

I appreciate all the previous help you guys have given me.

I hope someone can help me with this request.

Thanks.

1)Its quite easy, just download the file, unzip it to your OOTP4 directory overwriting the old OOTP4.exe file, the patch is nothing more than a new executable. Here are step by step directions:
  • Click on this link:http://www.400softwarestudios.com/dl...ip&source=OOTP
  • When the dialogue box pops up make sure Save File to disk is selected and click ok
  • Save it to your desktop (Select Desktop in the pull down menu at the top of the box and click Save)
  • After the file is downloaded and saved Right Click on it.
  • Select Extract All
  • In the Winzip path click Browse and follow the directory structure until you find your OOTP directory (C:\Program Files\OOTP4 )
  • Click Extract. When the pop up comes asking you to overwrite the OOTP4.exe file click Yes to All.
  • That's it your done. Just open the game and you should be ready to go.

2) No, the patch is an executable... if its working you can load any of your 4 leagues and all will be fine without any extra work.

Hope this helps.
